Tokyo: Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, arrived in Tokyo on Tuesday for a four-day visit aimed at attracting investments to the state.
Upon arrival, he received a warm reception from Sibi George, the Indian Ambassador to Japan, and was celebrated by the Indian community with traditional customs such as tilak and the wearing of a turban (safa).
Dr. Yadav’s official X handle shared the moments from the welcome, stating: “Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav receives a grand welcome by the Indian community in Tokyo, Japan, with a tilak and traditional turban… During his visit, the Chief Minister will engage in discussions with prominent industrialists and invite them to the #GlobalInvestorsSummitMP.”
The Indian Embassy in Japan also announced his arrival: “Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, arrives in Japan. Received by Ambassador @AmbSibiGeorge.”
Dr. Yadav’s trip is focused on meeting with leading Japanese industrialists to encourage their participation in the Global Investors Summit MP, set to take place in Bhopal in February 2025. His discussions will aim at fostering technological and economic partnerships between Japan and Madhya Pradesh, particularly in industries like agriculture and animal husbandry.
Before departing, Dr. Yadav expressed optimism that this visit would lead to significant advancements in the state’s development. He reaffirmed the Madhya Pradesh government’s commitment to creating job opportunities across various sectors, including youth, women, farmers, and marginalized groups, while promoting both government and private industrial initiatives. The Chief Minister highlighted the state’s dedication to self-reliance, skill development, and economic progress for its residents.
This visit emphasizes Madhya Pradesh’s ambition to be a center for innovation and industrial development, aligning with its objectives to attract global investments.
