Sachin Kurmi, a leader from the Ajit Pawar faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), was killed in the Byculla area of Mumbai last night.
The Mumbai Police reported that Kurmi was attacked with a sharp weapon by unidentified individuals behind the MHADA colony around 12:30 AM. Upon receiving notification of the incident, police arrived at the scene and rushed Kurmi to JJ Hospital, where he was pronounced dead after medical examination.
Authorities have taken possession of the body and arranged for a post-mortem. There is currently no information on the attackers, but police believe that 2 to 3 individuals were involved in the assault. This incident has raised security concerns in the area, and the Mumbai Police are actively investigating the case. Further updates are expected.
