One civilian killed, 9 injured as unidentified aircraft crashes in Punjab village

Bathinda: During India’s air strike on Pakistan under ‘Operation Sindoor’ in retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack, a plane crashed in a wheat field in Bathinda, Punjab. In this one person died and 9 people were injured. The name of the deceased is Govind, and he is a resident of Charkhi Dadri district of Haryana. The place where the plane crashed is 500 meters away from the populated residential areas.

According to the information, this incident took place at 2 o’clock in the night in Akaliyan Kalan village of Goniana Mandi in Bathinda. During this time an unidentified plane fell in the field. After this it caught fire. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police sealed the entire area. The media was also stopped.

In the video, an eyewitness confirms that the plane has fallen in the field and when people tried to go near it, it exploded. In the video, fire brigade employees are also seen extinguishing the fire.

It is not yet known which plane it is and who owns it. There is no information yet about its pilot either.

District authorities refused to comment about the crash, saying any comment will be issued by the defence authorities. Defence personnel and police teams have cordoned off the crash site. The dead has been identified as a farm labourer, Govind from Haryana. The crash occurred around 2 a.m. in wheat-harvested fields, close to the residential area.

Meanwhile, after India’s military action against terror camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), which is codenamed ‘Operation Sindoor’, two international flights en route to Amritsar were diverted to Delhi, and educational institutions along the Pakistan border shut in Punjab.
