A devastating fire broke out at a busy marketplace in the Khidirpur area of South Kolkata, West Bengal, early Monday morning, gutting over 1,300 shops. No casualties have been reported so far.

Amid the scorching heat, the spell of rain has begun in UP. Since Monday morning, Gonda, Mathura, Balrampur, Sambhal, Agra, Hathras, Ayodhya, Bareilly, Firozabad, and Gonda Sant Kabirnagar are experiencing heavy rains accompanied by thunder and lightning.
