Dehradun, April 27: After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, the process of the return of Pakistanis from all over the country has started. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given instructions to identify Pakistanis living in Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister held a high-level meeting in this regard at the CM residence. In which he told the officials to keep a close watch on suspicious people in the state.
Instructions for conducting a verification campaign
During the meeting, CM Dhami instructed to identify Pakistani citizens and start the process of sending them back immediately. During this, the Chief Minister also instructed the officials to run a verification campaign across the state.
He also said that a fine should be imposed on landlords who do not get their tenants verified. The Chief Minister also directed to identify people who are taking advantage of government schemes on the basis of incorrect records.
Alert issued for Chardham Yatra as well
In view of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the Chief Minister directed the officials to make security arrangements strong on the Chardham Yatra route. He said that if any suspicious person is seen on the Yatra route, he should be immediately detained.
Also, the general public should also be made aware in this regard. A toll-free number should be issued for information about suspicious activities. So that common people can share information on the concerned number.
