Parag Jain appointed as India’s new Research & Analysis Wing (R&AW) Chief

Jain is set to assume office on July 1, 2025, for a fixed two‑year tenure.

New Delhi: The Centre has appointed Parag Jain, a 1989‑batch IPS officer of the Punjab cadre, as the new Research & Analysis Wing (RAW) chief. He will succeed Ravi Sinha, whose current term concludes on June 30. Jain is set to assume office on July 1, 2025, for a fixed two‑year tenure.

1989-batch IPS officer of the Punjab cadre, Parag Jain, is currently the chief of ARC. Jain has served in Canada and Sri Lanka. Now Jain has been appointed as the next Chief of the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) for a term of two years.

Parag Jain currently heads the Aviation Research Centre and has played an important role in counter-terrorism operations, particularly in Jammu and Kashmir. Parag Jain is also known for his key role in Operation Sindoor targeting the Pakistani military intelligence.
