New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to participate in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2025 today at Bharat Mandapam, coinciding with National Youth Day, which celebrates the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

In his message on X, PM Modi described the event as a tribute to India’s youth and emphasized the significance of the day, stating, “I will spend the entire day with my young friends at the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2025. Over conversations and lunch, we will discuss various subjects aimed at building a Viksit Bharat.”

The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue seeks to modernize the traditional National Youth Festival format, aligning with the Prime Minister’s call to engage one lakh youth in politics without political affiliations, offering them a national platform to realize their visions for a developed India. Throughout the day, the Prime Minister will participate in various activities designed to inspire and empower future leaders.

According to a government press release, innovative young leaders will present ten PowerPoint presentations on key thematic areas crucial for India’s development. These presentations will showcase their innovative ideas and solutions to address pressing national challenges. Additionally, the Prime Minister will unveil a compilation of the best essays written by participants on themes such as technology, sustainability, women empowerment, manufacturing, and agriculture.

In a unique setting, PM Modi will join the young leaders for lunch, allowing them to share their ideas and aspirations directly, thus bridging the gap between governance and youth expectations.

The 3,000 participants were selected through the Viksit Bharat Challenge, which involved a comprehensive, merit-based selection process. This included three stages, starting with a quiz conducted in 12 languages that attracted around 30 lakh participants. The second stage involved an essay round, where over two lakh essays were submitted on critical themes for achieving a “Viksit Bharat.” The final stage saw 25 candidates per theme compete in in-person challenges, resulting in teams representing the top participants from each state.

The Dialogue will feature 1,500 participants from the Viksit Bharat Challenge Track, 1,000 from the Traditional Track, and 500 Pathbreakers recognized for their significant contributions in various fields.
