Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to commence a two-day visit to Gujarat on Wednesday, during which he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various infrastructure and development projects valued at over Rs 280 crore in Ekta Nagar, located in the Narmada district.
Following this, PM Modi will speak to the Officer Trainees of the 99th Common Foundation Course during the Aarambh 6.0 event. These initiatives are designed to enhance the tourist experience, improve accessibility, and promote sustainability in the region.
On the eve of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, the focus of this year’s programme is “Roadmap for Aatmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat.” The 99th Common Foundation Course, Aarambh 6.0, includes 653 Officer Trainees from 16 civil services of India and three civil services from Bhutan.
Additionally, on October 31, the Prime Minister will pay floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the Statue of Unity, followed by the celebrations for Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. He will administer the Ekta Diwas pledge and observe the Ekta Diwas Parade, which features 16 marching contingents hailing from nine states and one union territory police, along with four Central Armed Police Forces, NCC, and a marching band.
Highlighting the celebration will be special events such as the Hell March contingent of the NSG, a daredevil show by BSF and CRPF bikers, a demonstration of Indian Martial Arts by the BSF, a piped band performance by school children, and the ‘Surya Kiran’ flypast by the Indian Air Force, among other attractions.
