New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the inaugural SOUL Leadership Conclave at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Friday.

Bhutan’s Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay will also attend the event. PM Modi expressed his excitement on the social media platform X, stating, “I will be inaugurating the SOUL Leadership Conclave at 10:30 a.m. on February 21, at Bharat Mandapam. It brings me immense joy that my friend, Bhutan PM Tshering Tobgay, will be present at the conclave. @tsheringtobgay.”

Tobgay arrived in New Delhi on Thursday, where he was welcomed by Union Minister of State for External Affairs, Pabitra Margherita. His participation signifies a significant moment in India-Bhutan relations, reflecting the strong diplomatic ties between the two nations.

The two-day SOUL Leadership Conclave, running from February 21 to 22, aims to gather influential leaders from diverse fields such as politics, sports, arts and media, spirituality, public policy, business, and the social sector.

The conclave is intended to inspire young minds by allowing distinguished figures to share their leadership experiences, including both triumphs and setbacks.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the event will promote a collaborative ecosystem of mentorship and thought leadership.

The School of Ultimate Leadership (SOUL) is a future leadership institution in Gujarat dedicated to cultivating genuine leaders focused on public service. It seeks to broaden India’s political leadership landscape by providing formal training and opportunities to individuals who demonstrate merit, commitment, and enthusiasm for public service, rather than relying solely on political lineage.

The SOUL Leadership Conclave aims to equip the next generation of leaders with the insights, skills, and knowledge necessary to navigate the nuanced leadership challenges of the modern era.

By inaugurating the SOUL Leadership Conclave, India is taking a significant step towards nurturing a new generation of leaders characterized by integrity, vision, and inclusivity.

As the Guest of Honour, Bhutan PM Tshering Tobgay will deliver the keynote address. Other notable speakers include Union Ministers Bhupender Yadav and Ashwani Vaishnaw, former Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud, former RBI governor Shaktikanta Das, former Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi, industrialist Sunil Bharti Mittal, and reigning world chess champion Gukesh Dommaraju, among others.
