Dehradun (Uttarakhand): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Uttarakhand on Thursday, March 6th, where he will offer prayers at the River Ganga in Mukhba. He will be wearing a traditional dress called ‘Chapkan’, which is typically worn by priests at Mukhba, the winter residence of Shri Gangotri Dham. The Gangotri Temple Committee will present the ‘Chapkan’ to him. In Harshil, he will also receive the traditional dress ‘Mirzai’. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will accompany the Prime Minister during these events.
In related news, CM Dhami recently inaugurated the “Developed India-Developed Uttarakhand” mega exhibition in Roorkee, highlighting India’s progress and commitment to becoming a developed nation by 2047. The exhibition featured stalls from various organizations, including DRDO, ISRO, and THDC, showcasing public welfare initiatives and innovations.
Additionally, PM Modi emphasized the importance of MSMEs in India’s economic growth during a virtual address at the Post Budget Webinar 2025, and announced the formation of a committee to review and modernize regulations in the non-financial sector.
