Jaipur, June 17: Pre-monsoon rains are continuing in Rajasthan. In Alwar, clouds thundered with heavy rain at 3:30 in the night. After the rain in Dausa and Sikar at night, the roads were flooded in the morning. At the same time, most of the districts of the state are cloudy. Meteorological Center Jaipur has issued a yellow alert, expressing the possibility of pre-monsoon rains continuing in the state till June 20. Alert has been issued in 26 districts on Tuesday as well.
If we look at the weather of the last 24 hours, then due to heavy rains in the state, water got accumulated on the roads in many cities and towns. This change in the weather also brought relief to the people from the heatwave and scorching heat in the cities of the state. On Monday, the maximum day temperature in all the cities of the state was recorded between 32 to 39 degree Celsius. The highest temperature of 39.2 degree Celsius was recorded in Barmer on Monday, while the least heat was yesterday in Sirohi, Alwar and Kota, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 32.9 and 33 degree Celsius respectively.
Humidity increased in Jaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer
The humidity level in Jaipur was recorded above 75. The humidity level in Alwar was recorded at 95, Sikar at 70, Ajmer at 65 and Ganganagar at 81. Here in the areas of Jaisalmer and Jodhpur, the humidity increased due to the light sunshine after the rain. The humidity level in these districts was recorded above 80.
Arabian Sea’s monsoon branch active
The reason behind the heavy rains in the south-eastern and south-western parts of the state for the last two days is the activation of the monsoon branch of the Arabian Sea. According to weather experts, a cyclonic system has become active in the Arabian Sea near the border of Maharashtra and Gujarat, due to which good rains are occurring in many parts of Gujarat, Maharashtra as well as Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Due to the activation of this branch on Monday, the monsoon moved ahead and covered more than 90 percent of the entire Maharashtra and entered Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.
It kept drizzling in Alwar till morning
Alwar witnessed heavy rain between 3:30 and 4:30 in the night. After this, it kept drizzling till 6 in the morning. Due to the rain, water has entered the drains at many places.
