President Droupadi Murmu’s address to Parliament today, AAP to boycott in protest of Kejriwal’s protest

On the other hand, opposition parties have launched a boycott of the President's address

New Delhi: President Draupadi Murmu will address the joint session of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on Thursday. In this, she will present the outline of the roadmap of the central government for the upcoming 5 years.

This joint address meeting will be held in the new Parliament, where President Murmu will address at 11 am. All MPs have been asked to reach Parliament by 10.30 am and sit on their seats in the Lok Sabha chamber by 10.55 am.

On the other hand, opposition parties have launched a boycott of the President’s address. On the boycott, AAP MP Sandeep Pathak said that today they will protest in Rajya Sabha and boycott the President’s address. The boycott will be in protest against the continuous action against AAP supremo Kejriwal.

This will be the first presidential address after the formation of the third National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government.
Following the President’s address, a motion of thanks will be moved in both Houses of Parliament, which will be discussed by the members.

Opposition to claim Deputy Speaker post

After losing the Speaker’s election, the opposition will now claim for the Deputy Speaker. If reports are to be believed, the opposition has agreed to make Congress MP K. Suresh the candidate for the Deputy Speaker. K. Suresh was also the opposition’s candidate for the post of Speaker, he lost this election by voice vote to NDA’s Om Birla.
