On October 31, President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah shared their Diwali wishes with citizens.
In her message on social media platform X, President Murmu stated, “On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, I convey my greetings and best wishes to all Indians, both in India and abroad.” She emphasized that Deepawali is a festival of joy and happiness, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. Celebrated enthusiastically by diverse communities, she noted that it spreads hope for a brighter future.
President Murmu encouraged people to use this festive occasion to enlighten their consciences and embrace positive values such as love, compassion, and social harmony. She also highlighted the importance of reaching out to those in need to spread happiness and urged a commitment to preserving India’s rich culture while promoting a healthy, prosperous, and environmentally-friendly celebration.
Prime Minister Modi also took to X to offer his wishes, stating, “Wishing my fellow citizens a very happy Deepawali. May this divine festival of lights bless everyone with good health, happiness, and prosperity. May the blessings of Maa Lakshmi and Lord Shri Ganesha be upon all.”
Home Minister Shah joined in the celebrations by posting, “Heartfelt greetings to all on the festival of lights, Diwali. May this joyous occasion bring renewed energy, health, and prosperity to everyone’s lives.”
