Jaipur, May 2: The weather suddenly changed in Rajasthan on Friday morning, and there was a thunderstorm and rain. A dust storm blew in many parts of the state, including Jaipur, Bharatpur, Alwar, and Jhunjhunu. Due to the storm blowing at a speed of more than 40 KM, trees and solar panels fell at many places in Jaipur.
People got relief from the heat today due to the falling temperature. The weather department has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms and rain in all the remaining districts except the 3 districts of Pratapgarh, Dungarpur and Banswara. Hailstorms may also occur in some districts. The rain in the state since Thursday has affected the temperature, and the minimum temperature in many districts has fallen by 2 to 8 degrees Celsius.
On Friday, due to strong winds, trees fell on Ajmer Road and the Khatipura area in Jaipur, which affected the traffic movement at these places. Earlier on Thursday night, solar panels installed on the roofs of houses and fields fell due to a storm in Harmara.
Three inches of rain in Kaman of Bharatpur
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours was recorded in Kaman town near Bharatpur. 77 mm (3 inches) of rain was recorded here. Similarly, 20.1 mm rain was recorded in Pilani of Jhunjhunu, 31mm in Sam Area of Jaisalmer, 10 mm in Devikot, 14mm in Jaisalmer city, 11.5 mm in Ganganagar, 17 mm in Rajgarh of Alwar. Many cities, including Jaipur, Alwar, Dausa, Jhunjhunu, Churu, Hanumangarh, and Bhilwara, received rain ranging from 1 to 10 mm.
There was rain accompanied by thunderstorms in Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Bhilwara and Pali on Thursday evening. Due to the strong thunderstorm in the Jaisalmer area on Thursday, electricity poles fell at many places, which affected the power supply there.
If we look at the situation of the last 24 hours, there was intense heat in the cities of Rajasthan. The mercury was recorded above 46 degrees Celsius in Barmer and Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer felt the hottest, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 46.7 degrees Celsius. The temperature was recorded at 46.1 in Barmer, 45 in Chittorgarh, 44.9 in Bikaner, 44.2 in Phalodi, 43.5 in Churu, 43.3 in Ganganagar, 43.2 in Kota and 43 degrees Celsius in Udaipur.
The maximum temperature of the day in Jaipur on Thursday was recorded at 40.8 degrees Celsius. The sky remained clear throughout the day and there was slight humidity. The minimum temperature on Thursday night was recorded at 28.2 degrees. Sikar also experienced intense heat, where the maximum temperature was 41.5 degrees Celsius, 41.2 in Pilani, 42.2 in Ajmer, 42.4 in Bhilwara and the maximum temperature in Jodhpur was 42.2 degrees Celsius.
