Balesar, July 5: A trailer loaded with iron pipes on Bharatmala Express Highway in Balesar went out of control and collided with the divider. Due to which the pipes kept at the back of the trailer broke the cabin and came forward. The driver and the helper sitting in the cabin died. The accident happened due to the trailer driver dozing off. The incident happened near Jiya Beri village on Saturday morning at 8.30 am.
Was going from Haryana to Ahmedabad
Head Constable Bharat Singh Charan said that a trailer loaded with iron pipes was going from Haryana to Ahmedabad. During this, the driver fell asleep near Jiya Beri village. Due to which the trailer went out of control and collided with the divider. The collision was so strong that the iron pipes loaded at the back of the trailer broke the cabin and entered inside. Due to which the driver Prince (35) son of Pol Singh resident of Lilovaada Sangrur Punjab and the helper sitting in the cabin died on the spot. Who has not been identified yet. After the accident, the people nearby informed the Balesar police about the incident.
Both bodies were badly stuck in the cabin
On receiving the information, Balesar Police Head Constable Bharat Singh Charan, Rajendra Singh Barjasar along with the police team and the National Highway patrolling team also reached the spot. After a lot of hard work, the police took out both the bodies trapped in the cabin and took them to the government hospital in Balesar for postmortem.
Meanwhile, with the help of a crane, the police removed the damaged vehicle and the pipes scattered on the highway and restored traffic. The police is investigating the matter.
