Udaipur, May 19: In a tragic incident, two students from Geetanjali Medical College drowned in the Madar Chota Lake located in the Badgaon Police Station area of Udaipur while on a picnic with friends.
Five Students had gone to the lake for a picnic when two of them-Sahil Gupta from Rohini, Delhi, and Devendra Sharma from Sawai Madhopur-entered the water. Unfortunately, both went too deep and drowned as they did not know how to swim.
Their friends and nearby villagers tried to rescue them, but the efforts were unsuccessful. Both students were pursuing a Bachelor of Dental Surgery BDS Course.
Police arrived at the scene and placed the bodies in the mortuary. The families of the victims and the college administration have been informed. The incident cast a shadow of grief over the area.
