New Delhi: Two unidentified men on Wednesday jumped from the visitor’s gallery in Lok Sabha following which the House was adjourned. The huge security lapse took place at 1 p.m. when Rajendra Agarwal was chairing the House following which two men jumped from the visitor’s gallery. There was a slight commotion and the House was adjourned.
The intruder then kept on climbing the tables towards the Chair. However, he was caught by the security officials. Rajendra Agarwal then immediately announced the adjournment of the House till 2 p.m.
After the breach, two intruders were caught by the MPs and handed over to security officials. The breach in security came on the day when, today nation observed the 22nd anniversary of the Parliament attack and paid tributes to fallen Jawans.
Leader of opposition, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said, “Two young men jumped from the gallery and something was hurled by them from which gas was emitting. They were caught by MPs, they were brought out by security personnel. The house was adjourned till 2 pm. This is certainly a security breach because today we observed the death anniversary of people who sacrificed their lives in 2001 (Parliament attack”
