New Delhi: On Saturday evening, several shots were fired in the Welcome area of North East Delhi, according to police reports. During the shooting, a bystander named Ifra, aged 22, was injured and has since been admitted to GTB Hospital. Police responded promptly to the incident and cordoned off the area to initiate an investigation.
Officials received a call about a quarrel and subsequent gunfire at Raja Market at around 4:42 PM. Upon arrival, Senior Officer ASI Vishal and his team discovered empty cartridges on the street. The shooting stemmed from a dispute among jeans wholesalers concerning financial matters. The crime investigation team is currently on the scene, collecting evidence. Authorities have retrieved a total of 17 exhibits, including empty and live cartridges, as well as deformed metal fragments, and a number of suspects have been apprehended.
