The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of storm and rain in 22 states, including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh on Monday. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir may increase by 3 to 5 degrees this week. At the same time, a new phase of heatwave will start in the western districts of Rajasthan from Monday.
This may increase the temperature by 4 to 6 degrees. There is a possibility of severe heat waves in Jodhpur, Bikaner, and Shekhawati divisions. During this time, the temperature in the areas near the Pakistan border can go up to 46 degrees.
At the same time, the people of Delhi-NCR will have to face 40-degree heat again. The temperature had dropped due to storm and rain in the past days. On Monday, the temperature will be around 39 degrees, while on Tuesday, it will cross 40 degrees.
There may be severe heat in Delhi-NCR from 16 to 18 April. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of heat wave for these three days. During this time, the temperature can remain up to 41 degrees.
According to the Meteorological Department, this is the second time in the last 15 years that the people of Delhi are facing heat wave in April itself. After the year 2011, a heat wave prevailed in Delhi from 8 to 11 April in 2022. This time people are facing severe heat in Delhi-NCR in April.
According to the Meteorological Department, if the maximum temperature is above 40 degrees or 4.5 degrees more than normal, then it is considered a heat wave situation. Severe heat wave is considered when the temperature is 6.5 degrees more than normal. So far the maximum temperature has gone above 4.5 degrees above normal many times.
