Shimla (Himachal Pradesh): The Shimla Police’s Special Cell intercepted routine patrol near Shoghi and seized 21.07 grams of heroin, also known as Chitta. Three individuals—Anuj Kumar Duggal from Himachal Pradesh, and Puneet Pal and Agand Sawrawal from Punjab—were detained in connection with the recovery under the NDPS Act. A case has been filed at the Police Station West, Shimla, related to this incident.
The police emphasized their commitment to fighting drug trafficking and urged the public to support efforts to create a drug-free society. Further investigations are ongoing.
Additionally, earlier on June 1, Himachal Pradesh Police arrested four youths at Charlane Baloh Toll Plaza, recovering over 1 kg of hashish (63.7 grams of Charas) and a loaded pistol with three rounds. The youths were traveling in a taxi from Mandi, and the case has been registered at Ghumarvi police station.
