The bus, which was traveling from Hyderabad to Kakinada, crashed into a cement-laden truck, causing the bus to roll over multiple times. Three passengers died at the scene, and one of the injured later succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. The bus driver was among the deceased. Emergency services were quick to respond, and the injured were taken to nearby hospitals. Both vehicles were severely damaged, leading to a major traffic jam on the highway, which was cleared with the help of a crane.

Eluru District Collector K. Vetri Selvi visited the hospital where the injured were treated, ensuring that they received the best care possible.

Eyewitnesses reported that the bus was traveling at high speed when the collision occurred, with some passengers stating that they had noticed the driver’s speeding just before the crash.

In a separate incident near Chilamkur village in Yerraguntla mandal, YSR district, two people were killed and 10 others injured when a truck collided with a tractor carrying laborers. The collision resulted in the immediate death of two workers, and the injured were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
