Earlier, in Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also unfurled the national flag, honoring India’s Constitution and the freedom fighters who contributed to the nation’s formation. He emphasized the importance of January 26, 1950, when India adopted its Constitution, marking the start of its journey as a sovereign democratic republic. Adityanath acknowledged the sacrifices of freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Subhash Chandra Bose, B.R. Ambedkar, and Rajendra Prasad, and noted that today marks 75 years since the Constitution was implemented. He praised the Constitution as a vital guide for delivering justice to every Indian citizen.

India is celebrating its 76th Republic Day with a grand display of the country’s rich cultural diversity, unity, equality, development, and military strength at Kartavya Path in New Delhi. The ceremony commenced with Prime Minister Narendra Modi visiting the National War Memorial to pay tribute to fallen heroes by laying a wreath.

Approximately 10,000 special guests attended the parade, reflecting the government’s aim to enhance public participation in significant national events. These guests, recognized for their contributions to society, are considered the architects of ‘Swarnim Bharat’ (Golden India).

For the first time, a joint tableau from the three armed services will showcase the spirit of collaboration and integration, themed ‘Shashakt aur Surakshit Bharat’ (Empowered and Secure India). This tableau will illustrate a Joint Operations Room that facilitates communication and coordination among the three services.
