New Delhi: On New Year’s Day, the Delhi BJP criticized AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, urging him to take a pledge to stop lying and misleading the public. Delhi BJP Chief Virendra Sachdeva sent a letter to Kejriwal, encouraging him to abandon his negative behaviors and make positive changes.
Sachdeva suggested that Kejriwal should commit to five resolutions for the year: to stop making false promises regarding his children, to cease manipulating the emotions of women, elders, and religious communities with fake assurances, to apologize for promoting alcohol in Delhi and for corruption linked to false claims about cleaning the Yamuna, and to refrain from engaging with anti-national elements or accepting donations for political gain.
Additionally, Sachdeva released a video showcasing Kejriwal’s inconsistent statements for his own benefit. He accused Kejriwal of hypocrisy, particularly criticizing his insincere attempts to appeal to Hindu voters during elections. The video included instances where Kejriwal allegedly insulted Hindu deities and symbols. Sachdeva labeled Kejriwal a “Chunavi Hindu,” suggesting he only acknowledges Hinduism during election campaigns to win votes from the majority community. He concluded that Kejriwal has repeatedly disrespected the Hindu community and compromised national security, making it unrealistic to expect Delhi to thrive under his leadership.
