New Delhi : An Indian Air Force convoy was attacked by terrorists in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. The Rashtriya Rifles unit has initiated search operations in the area. The vehicles have been secured inside the air base in the general area near Shahsitar. Some military personnel have been injured.
There were over 30 rounds of gunfire exchanged between the two sides following the terrorist attack that occurred in the Danna Shastar area of Mendhar sub division in Poonch district.
Reports indicate that an army vehicle was targeted with gunfire. As a result, a search operation is underway to surround the area. The wounded soldiers have been transported to a nearby hospital for medical assistance. Photographs of the targeted vehicle reveal that it has sustained more than a dozen bullet impacts.
