Delhi court refuses bail to Puja Khedkar in Fraud IAS case

UPSC has found Puja guilty and therefore action has been taken against her.

New Delhi: On Thursday, the Delhi Patiala house court rejected the anticipatory bail plea, of a trainee IAS officer who lied about her mental and visual disabilities. She faked her identity to pass the Civil Services entrance exam.

In a major blow to IAS trainee Puja Khedkar, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has cancelled her provisional candidature. The move by UPSC will bar her from taking all UPSC exams in the future. UPSC has found Puja guilty and therefore action has been taken against her.

UPSC has already given indications of strict action against Puja. UPSC said that if the allegations levelled against Puja Khedkar are found to be true, then action will be taken against them. UPSC had also issued a show cause notice to Pooja Khedkar in this regard. The notice asked why Pooja Khedkar’s candidature for the Civil Services Examination 2022 should not be cancelled.
