Air India aircraft and schools and colleges have already received bomb threat emails, and now hotels are facing similar threats. According to information received, several hotels in Tirupati have received emails threatening bomb attacks. These emails refer to a person named Jafar Sadik, who is allegedly the leader of a drug trafficking network and has been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau and the Enforcement Directorate.
An official stated, “Three alerts were crucial in determining the direction of our investigation. They helped us gather necessary information to effectively reach the criminals.” Following these threats, police personnel conducted a thorough search of the hotels with the help of sniffer dogs, confirming that the threat was a hoax. The police are now investigating to trace the source of these threats. Since Tirupati attracts a large number of devotees visiting Lord Tirupati Balaji, the hotel business here is quite thriving.
The hotels that received threats are under close surveillance. These include three private hotels near Lilam Mahal, Kapilthirtham, and Alipiri in Tirupati. The threatening emails reportedly mentioned the name of drug mafia Jafar Sadik. It is noteworthy that for the past several months, bomb threats have been received concerning air travel and educational institutions.
