New Delhi: Today evening, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Rashtapati Bhawan to meet President Draupadi Murmu. After reaching the Rashtrapati Bhawan PM Modi has submitted the Letter of Support to the President. After meeting with President, he address the country from there, thanks to all the people of India for choosing as PM again.
While speaking at the Rashtrapati Bhawan he said that NDA government ready to fulfill country’s aspirations and create environment for global participation. It is the beginning of 18th Lok Sabha and expresses gratitude to the country. Our party is ready to serve the country with same zeal.
Narendra Modi was elected leader of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) parliamentary party for the third consecutive time on Friday.
Leaders of 13 NDA parties attended the meeting which started at 11 am in the Central Hall of the old Parliament (Samvidhan Sadan).
All 293 NDA MPs, Rajya Sabha MPs and Chief Ministers and Deputy CMs of all states were present in the meeting. After this, NDA staked claim to form the government at 3 pm. The leaders of the alliance submitted a letter of support to President Draupadi Murmu.
After the meeting, Modi met senior BJP leaders LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and former President Ramnath Kovind at their homes.
Rajnath proposed Modi’s name for the post of Prime Minister
BJP President JP Nadda gave the welcome speech. Rajnath Singh proposed Narendra Modi’s name for the post of Prime Minister. Amit Shah supported it and Nitin Gadkari approved it. JDS President Kumaraswamy supported the proposal.
After this, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, JDU chief and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar announced their support. Modi may take oath as Prime Minister for the third time at 6 pm on June 9 at Rashtrapati Bhavan. It is reported that the entire cabinet may take oath along with Modi.
