Bodies of 2 friends found near railway track in Jhunjhunu: Injury marks raise murder or accident

Bodies of 2 friends were found near the railway underpass. One's body was found lying about 15 feet from the track and the other's body was found 7 feet away.

Jhunjhunu, June 26: Bodies of 2 friends were found near the railway underpass. One’s body was found lying about 15 feet from the track and the other’s body was found 7 feet away. On the information of passersby, police, FSL and MOV reached the spot and collected evidence from the spot.

Police suspect that both of them met with an accident while getting off the train or while crossing the track. Evidence has also been collected from the spot, suspecting murder.

The incident took place at Pura Ki Dhani of Jhunjhunu Kotwali police station at around 7:15 in the morning.

Both were friends

SHO Mangilal said that in the morning, information was received about two youths lying on the side of the track. There were marks of injuries on the bodies of both. FSL and MOV team along with Jhunjhunu CO City Virendra Sharma also reached the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Ilyas (28), a resident of Gudha Mod, and Sadam (29), a resident of Bakra Road. Both are friends.

Police engaged in investigation of death

SHO said that necessary evidence has been collected from the spot. People living nearby are also being questioned. The team has collected evidence from the mobile phones, clothes and bodies of the deceased.

So far, it has not been clear in the investigation which train the two youths were travelling in and where they were going or returning. Neither has any clear information been received from the railways nor has any ticket or document been found with the deceased which could make it clear which train they were travelling in.

Family members are being questioned

The police have informed the relatives of the deceased. After the relatives arrive, some more facts are expected to come out from their side. The police is trying to find out when and from where the youths had left, whether anyone else was with them or not. Also, call details and mobile location are also being investigated so that the activities before the incident can be traced.

Police investigating whether it is an accident or conspiracy

According to the police, initially it appears to be a case of falling from the train, but other aspects are also not being ignored. Footage of CCTV cameras in the area is being examined and information about train movement is also being collected from the railways. Both the bodies have been kept in the mortuary of BDK Hospital and the cause of death will be completely clear only after the postmortem.
