‘We have to be careful…’, says Defence Minister Rajnath Singh over Security breach, LS adjourned till 2 pm

New Delhi: Day after a Huge Security breach in Lok Sabha, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh issued a statement on the incident. Condemning the incident, Rajnath Singh in the House said that in future we have to be careful about the issuing of passes to enter parliament. He said, “Everyone has condemned this incident. You (Speaker).

Condemning the incident, Rajnath Singh in the House said that in future we have to be careful about the issuing of passes to enter parliament. He said, “Everyone has condemned this incident. You (Speaker) have taken cognizance of the matter. We have to be careful about to whom we issue the passes (to enter Parliament).”

He also added that all precautions possible will be taken in the future.

On the other hand, the opposition raised slogans and demanded the resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah over the incident. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said “all of us are concerned” about what happened in the House yesterday. The security of the House is the responsibility of Lok Sabha Secretariat. Amidst the sloganeering by the opposition, Lok Sabha has been adjourned till 2 pm.

A similar scene of opposition sloganeering was visible in Rajya Sabha too and the Chairman adjourned the house till 12 pm. Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar has also asked the Opposition leader for a meeting at his chamber at 11.30 am.

Today taking big action in the incident of security lapse, Lok Sabha Secretariat suspended total eight security personnel. New Guidelines for entry in the parliament have also been issued.
