New Delhi: The maximum temperature in the national capital Delhi was recorded at 43.4 degrees Celsius on Monday, which is 3.5 degrees higher than the average temperature of this season. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning, according to which, there is no hope of getting relief from the scorching heat from Delhi-NCR to Punjab and Rajasthan.
The Meteorological Department has said that the scorching heat will continue in the coming days. People have been advised to stay indoors, as staying in the sun for a long time can cause heat-related diseases.
Meanwhileif we talk about the monsoon, then as per reports, It is bringing relief and may knock in South Gujarat on June 12, but it is likely to reach Delhi-NCR only by the end of the month. This means that people of the Delhi NCR and other northern states have to bear the heatwave.
Another round of severe heat has started in northwest and eastern India and the temperature is expected to rise by two to three degrees Celsius during the next five days. Giving information on Monday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that severe heat is expected in northwest and eastern India during the next five days. The statement said that there is a possibility of severe heat in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha and Gangetic plains of West Bengal. Earlier, there was severe heat and heatwaves for several days in the months of April and May.
Temperature recorded in Delhi NCR
The maximum temperature in Delhi on Monday was recorded at 43.4 degrees Celsius, which is 3.5 degrees higher than the average temperature of this season. The Meteorological Department has forecast clear skies and heatwaves and strong winds at a speed of 25 to 35 kmph on Tuesday. The Meteorological Department has issued an ‘Orange’ alert for Tuesday in Delhi. The Meteorological Department said that the maximum and minimum temperatures in the national capital are expected to reach 44 and 30 degrees Celsius respectively on Tuesday.
