New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated several development projects in her Shalimar Bagh constituency on Tuesday.
“Today, we are initiating water supply from this location, which will now be available from 6 am to 8 am and also for half an hour in the evening. Previously, there was no water supply in the evening, but now you will have water twice a day,” CM Gupta announced to the public in Shalimar Bagh.
On Monday, CM Gupta held a high-level review meeting with the District Magistrates from all 11 revenue districts of the city. The main objective was to evaluate administrative and developmental progress, address local issues, and enhance coordination among various departments.
In a release, CM Gupta explained that key topics discussed included administrative performance, public service delivery, land disputes, encroachments, the digitization of land ownership records, disaster management preparedness, and ensuring transparency in revenue offices. She instructed all District Magistrates (DMs) to conduct regular field inspections and actively engage with the community.
“This review meeting with the DMs was very important. We thoroughly discussed the status of civic services, progress of e-district services, grievance redressal systems, land record digitization, and disaster preparedness. All officials received clear directions to ensure services are transparent, timely, and focused on citizens. Accountability and sensitivity are crucial in all public service processes,” emphasized the Delhi Chief Minister.
She reiterated the government’s stance of zero tolerance towards corruption and called for strict action against any irregularities, especially concerning the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category.
Additionally, the Chief Minister instructed all DMs to closely monitor issues such as waterlogging, cleanliness, encroachments, and traffic congestion in their districts, emphasizing that addressing these everyday challenges should be a top priority for the administration.
