Nawazuddin Siddiqui spent 40 days alone in Germany for ‘Main Actor Nahi Hoon’

Mumbai: Nawazuddin Siddiqui, known for his powerful and realistic acting, has once again demonstrated his complete dedication to his role. He spent nearly 40 days alone in Germany preparing for his upcoming film Main Actor Nahi Hoon.

According to the film’s director Aditya Kripalani, Nawazuddin arrived in Frankfurt alone, without his team or any entourage. There, he explored the depth of his character by living among ordinary people, walking the streets, and closely understanding everyday life.

Uniquely, before starting shooting, he spent seven days solely understanding and immersing himself in the environment.

Emotional story woven between two cities

Chitrangada Satarupa will also be seen in a key role in the film. The story revolves around Mouni, a struggling actress from Mumbai, and Adnan Baig (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), a retired banker living in Frankfurt.

They meet through an online audition, where Mouni teaches Adnan acting. This relationship, which begins through video calls, gradually blossoms into a deep emotional connection, as both confront their pasts and hidden truths.

The film was shot in both India and Germany.

Pre-Release Acclaim

Main Actor Nahi Hoon has already received considerable acclaim on the international film festival circuit. Chitrangada Satarupa won the Best Actress award, while Aditya Kripalani received a Jury Mention for Best Director.

Release Date

The film will be released in theaters on May 8, 2026. It is being distributed in India by Platoon One Films.
