Haryana CM Nayab Saini, BJP Leader Ashwani Sharma to Visit Fatehgarh Sahib Today

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and BJP Punjab working state president and MLA Ashwani Sharma will pay obeisance at the historic Sikh religious site, Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib today. Both the leaders will reach the Gurdwara Sahib around 2:30 pm and pay homage to the martyrdom of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh.

Paying homage to the martyrdom of the Sahibzadas

During the Ardas at Gurdwara Sahib, both the leaders will remember the supreme sacrifice of the Sahibzadas. It is believed that the martyrdom at Fatehgarh Sahib symbolises courage, faith and unwavering devotion to religion. Other senior BJP leaders and local workers may also be present on the occasion.

Political message with religious visit

The visit is not only seen as a religious visit but also has political implications. The party leadership sees it as an important step towards strengthening dialogue and emotional connection with the Sikh community in Punjab.

After the Ardaas at Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib, Nayab Saini and Ashwani Sharma are expected to meet party officials and local leaders. Political analysts say that under the guise of paying homage to the martyrdom of the Sahibzadas, the BJP is trying to increase its acceptance in Punjab through cultural and religious issues.
