BJP Organisational Role Is Responsibility, Not Designation: Haryana CM

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday said that an organisational position in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is not merely a designation but a responsibility towards public service and the organisation.

Saini was speaking at a programme in Panchkula marking the assumption of charge by Sunil Sen as the Haryana BJP OBC Morcha state president. The event was presided over by BJP Haryana state president Archana Gupta.

The programme comes amid the BJP’s ongoing organisational restructuring in Haryana, with new office-bearers and Morcha presidents being given responsibilities at the state level.

Saini Calls For Stronger Organisation At Booth Level

Saini said the BJP’s 46-year journey had been shaped by the dedication and resolve of its workers towards nation-building.

He said the party’s stated approach of serving the nation had continued from Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Chief Minister urged party workers to take the message of Modi’s 25 years of public service and governance to the people. He said October 7 would mark the completion of 25 years of Modi’s journey in public service and governance.

Saini also called upon workers to participate actively in the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, which is scheduled to continue until October 17.

He said the organisation and government have a collective responsibility to ensure that public welfare schemes and development initiatives reach people at the last mile.

OBC Morcha Asked To Expand Outreach

Congratulating Sunil Sen on assuming the new responsibility, Saini said the OBC Morcha should work towards reaching people at the grassroots level and strengthening the organisation at the booth level.

Sen was appointed as the Haryana BJP OBC Morcha president as part of the party’s recently announced state organisational team. The new state setup includes presidents for various BJP Morchas, including the OBC Morcha.

Saini said the role of party workers should extend beyond organisational positions and focus on public service and outreach.

Archana Gupta Stresses OBC Morcha’s Organisational Role

Addressing the gathering, BJP Haryana president Archana Gupta said the OBC Morcha should strengthen the organisation in every Assembly constituency and across different regions.

She said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini come from the OBC community and, according to her, this gives the community’s organisational participation greater significance.

Gupta called for greater involvement of OBC workers as well as panchs, sarpanchs, councillors and other public representatives in Morcha activities.

She urged the organisation to extend its outreach to the booth level, with the slogan “Jahan Kam, Wahan Hum.”

The emphasis on booth-level strengthening is also reflected in recent Haryana BJP organisational activities, including efforts to expand party outreach and information networks down to the booth level.
