Acting on specific intelligence, NCB teams intercepted Bashir Ahmad Malla of Dhobiwan on November 20 and recovered the seized narcotics from him.
A swift follow-up operation, supported by Baramulla Police, led to the arrest of his associate, Mansoor Ahmad Wani, who was reportedly deeply involved in the supply chain.
Further operational inputs resulted in the arrest of the suspected primary supplier, Abdul Rashid Dar, from Pulwama, completing the chain.
Network With Criminal History Neutralised
All three individuals arrested have prior cases under the NDPS Act. With their detention, authorities believe they have taken down the entire module responsible for procuring, transporting and distributing the seized charas.
Investigators are now working to trace financial links, wider networks, and potential inter-state connections.
The NCB noted that its Srinagar office, recently established under a national initiative to enhance narcotics enforcement in J&K, will continue strengthening operations.
