Republic Day Parade 2026: Strong ticket sales on the first day

New Delhi: Ticket sales for the Republic Day Parade 2026 began with a strong start on Monday. According to a Ministry of Defense official, the entire daily quota—2,225 tickets—available on the online portal was sold out within hours.

In addition, the daily quota of 692 tickets for the Beating Retreat ceremony and its full-dress rehearsal was also exhausted shortly after sales began at 9 a.m. Tickets are being sold on the Ministry of Defense’s official website, [www.aamantran.mod.gov.in](http://www.aamantran.mod.gov.in).

    Event Dates and Ticket Rates

The Ministry of Defence has commenced ticket sales for the Republic Day Parade (January 26), the Beating Retreat Full-Dress Rehearsal (January 28), and the Main Beating Retreat Ceremony (January 29).

Tickets for the Republic Day Parade are available at ₹100 and ₹20. Tickets for the Beating Retreat Full-Dress Rehearsal are available at ₹20, and for the Main Beating Retreat Ceremony at ₹100. Tickets will be available daily from 9 am and will be sold until quotas are exhausted.

    Offline Counters and Identification Require

In addition to online booking, tickets can also be purchased from six designated counters. Presenting an original photo identification card, such as an Aadhaar card, voter ID, driving license, PAN card, passport, or any other identity card issued by the Central/State government, will be mandatory. The Ministry clarified that the same identification card must be brought to the event.

Ticket sales counters are located at Sena Bhawan (near Gate No. 5), Shastri Bhawan (near Gate No. 3), Jantar Mantar (Main Gate), Parliament House Reception, Rajiv Chowk Metro Station (D-Block, near Gate No. 3 and 4), and Kashmere Gate Metro Station (Concourse Level, near Gate No. 8). These counters will be open from January 5 to 14, from 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm.

    Ministry’s Commitment to Public Participation

The Ministry of Defence stated that last year, in view of the unprecedented demand for tickets for the Republic Day Celebrations 2025, additional passes were issued for the full-dress rehearsal of the parade. This step was taken to ensure maximum participation.
