NEET Re-Exam Controversy: CJP Protest Continues at Jantar Mantar, Demands Education Minister’s Resignation

New Delhi: The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP)’s indefinite sit-in at Jantar Mantar continued for the second day on Sunday. The party reiterated its demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged exam irregularities.

Sit-in continues for the second day

After holding protests in various cities across the country, the CJP launched its protest in Delhi on Saturday. Party founder Abhijeet Dipke and his supporters remained at Jantar Mantar despite police orders to vacate the site and announced their intention to continue the protest.

Allegations of Water Supply Cut-off

Before Sunday’s protest, Abhijeet Dipke alleged that the water supply to the public toilets used by the protesters had been cut off. He said this was done to pressure the protesters into ending the protest.

Appeal to NEET Candidates

Deepak wished all students taking the NEET-UG re-exam their best wishes. He also appealed to them to join the movement after the exam is over.

More than 2.2 million students are taking the exam

The NEET-UG re-test is being conducted at 5,424 exam centers across the country, with approximately 2.2 million candidates participating. This re-examination is being conducted after the original exam, held on May 3, was canceled following allegations of paper leaks.
