New Aam Aadmi Clinics to Open in Jalandhar; Scanning of Pregnant Women, Anti-Rabies Vaccinations available

There is great news for the district’s residents on the healthcare front. The Health Department is set to launch OPD (Outpatient Department) services at 8 new ‘Aam Aadmi Clinics’ (AAC) in Jalandhar, starting March 28. With the operationalization of these clinics, local residents will be able to access better and free medical treatment right in their own neighborhoods.

According to Civil Surgeon Dr. Rajesh Garg, the department has completed the staff recruitment process to ensure the smooth functioning of these clinics. Each clinic will be staffed by one doctor and either a pharmacist or a clinic assistant.

The patient registration and treatment processes will be entirely online. Patients will be provided with 107 types of medicines and 47 types of laboratory tests completely free of cost. These services will also include free anti-rabies vaccinations and free ultrasound scanning facilities for pregnant women.

OPD Services to Commence in These Areas

Basti Sheikh, Malko Tarar (Nakodar Road), Mohalla Gaon Suvidha Kendra (Nakodar), Nangal Shama, Ramgarhia Mohalla, Rahmanpura, and Sewa Kendra Phillaur. Additionally, the Health Department has shared its future plans, under which new clinics will soon be opened at Budha Mal Ground, the Municipal Corporation Dispensary (Gadaipur), Sabbowal Elementary School, Siddharth Nagar, Jaimal Nagar, Lamma Pind, Lasara, Begumpura Adampur, Chogitti, Sarai Khas, Geeta Colony Park, the Sports and Surgical Complex, Kalia Farm, and Salempur.
