New Delhi: Delhi Police have arrested one adult and apprehended two minors in connection with the murder of a 17-year-old boy in northeast Delhi’s New Usmanpur, solving the case within hours of the incident.

The victim was allegedly stabbed to death on Monday, triggering panic among local residents. Police said the accused and the victim belonged to the same community, and preliminary investigation suggests the crime stemmed from a personal dispute.

Teen Found Dead After Stabbing in New Usmanpur

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-East) Rahul Alwal, police received information about a stabbing incident in the New Usmanpur area and rushed to the spot.

“Upon reaching the spot, police found a 17-year-old male lying on the ground, who was declared dead,” the officer said.

A forensic team examined the crime scene and collected evidence. Police registered a case under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and launched an investigation.

Local residents expressed concern over the incident, stating that the attack occurred in broad daylight in a busy market area, creating fear among people living nearby.

One Adult, Two Minors Apprehended

Acting swiftly, Delhi Police formed multiple teams and tracked down the suspects within hours. One 21-year-old identified as Nikki was arrested, while two Children in Conflict with Law (CCLs) were apprehended.

During interrogation, the three accused allegedly confessed to their involvement in the crime and told investigators that they had ongoing issues with the deceased.

Police said the victim and the accused were known to each other and belonged to the same community.

Investigation Continues

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances leading to the murder, including the exact motive and the involvement of any additional suspects.

Police had earlier indicated that multiple teams were deployed to identify and apprehend those responsible. Further details are expected as the investigation progresses.
