NIA raids multiple locations in Kashmir in Delhi blast

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday carried out extensive searches at multiple locations across Jammu and Kashmir in connection with the ongoing probe into the Delhi Red Fort blast case, officials said.

Crackdown across multiple locations

According to officials, NIA teams conducted coordinated raids at several sites in Kashmir as part of efforts to dismantle the terror network linked to the deadly explosion in the national capital. The searches were carried out with the assistance of local police and paramilitary forces, focusing on suspected hideouts and premises linked to accused individuals.

The operation is part of a larger crackdown by the agency to trace the conspiracy behind the blast and identify all those involved in planning, funding, and executing the attack.

Link to Red Fort blast case

The case relates to the November 2025 explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort, which was declared a terror incident by authorities. The blast resulted in multiple casualties and injuries, prompting a nationwide investigation led by the NIA.

Investigations have revealed that the conspiracy had links extending to Jammu and Kashmir, with several accused allegedly involved in providing logistics, shelter, and weapons for the attack.

Earlier arrests and widening probe

The NIA has already arrested multiple suspects from Jammu and Kashmir in connection with the case. Earlier, two more operatives were apprehended for allegedly supplying weapons to the main accused, taking the total number of arrests in the case to 11.

Officials believe that the module behind the blast functioned through a network of overground workers (OGWs), who facilitated the movement of explosives, vehicles, and personnel across states.

Searches aimed at gathering evidence

The latest searches are aimed at recovering incriminating materials such as digital devices, documents, and communication records that could provide further leads in the investigation. In previous operations, similar raids in south Kashmir’s Shopian and Pulwama had yielded crucial inputs regarding hideouts and logistical support systems used by the accused.

Investigators are also examining possible financial transactions and communication links between suspects to establish the full extent of the conspiracy.

Focus on dismantling terror network

Officials said the agency is working to completely dismantle the network behind the attack, including identifying handlers, recruiters, and facilitators. The involvement of local operatives has been a key focus, as agencies attempt to uncover how the terror module operated across regions.

The NIA’s intensified action reflects concerns over the use of coordinated networks in planning such attacks, with investigators exploring both domestic and cross-border linkages.
