NIA raid in Rohtak: Investigation at the house of physiotherapist

A five-member team from the NIA in Lucknow arrived in Kamal Colony on Tuesday morning, around 6 am and investigated the house of a physiotherapist who was living there on rent. The NIA has been investigating Maoist activities in the district for the past six months.

Besides the landlord in Lakhanmajra, they have also included a student leader from MDU in their investigation. It has not yet been officially confirmed whether the investigation at the physiotherapist’s house is related to Maoist activities.

According to reports, the team arrived at a house in Kamal Colony around 6 am on Tuesday. The house belongs to an Army captain who is currently away on duty. The house has been rented for the past six months by a person from Sonipat. He works as a physiotherapist and also has a machine installed in the house. He primarily provides therapy to athletes.

Earlier, the NIA team from Lucknow, with the help of Hisar police, had raided Lakhanmajra six months ago and arrested Priyanshu Kashyap, a resident of Manjhiguda village in Chhattisgarh. Priyanshu was living in Lakhanmajra in a rented house.

A week ago, the NIA team from Lucknow again visited Lakhanmajra and questioned the landlord. They have also included a student leader from MDU in their investigation.
