Breaking: NIA Raids in Amritsar & Gurdaspur; searches on illegal immigration continues

Amritsar, August 5: On Tuesday morning, the NIA (National Investigation Agency) raided a house in Shastri Nagar in Amritsar city of Punjab and Fatehgarh Churian area in Gurdaspur. In Amritsar, the raid was conducted at the house of a young man named Vishal Sharma, who works in immigration in Ranjit Avenue.

The NIA has raided the house of retired army man Kaka Fauji alias Kashmir Singh in Chittaurgarh village near Fatehgarh Churian in Gurdaspur. The investigation has been going on for the last five hours.

The NIA team arrived here early in the morning and started thoroughly investigating the documents kept in the house. During the investigation, no member of the house was allowed to go out. During this time, the local police were also present there and security of the area was increased.

NIA is investigating the cases of sending people abroad

According to sources, the NIA had received information about some suspicious documents or activities related to the youth’s business. Based on which this action has been taken. However, no official confirmation or arrest has been reported in this case so far.

On the other hand, since the beginning of this year, NIA has been keeping an eye on those immigration officials who send people abroad illegally. NIA has not confirmed this yet, but according to sources, an investigation is going on regarding this matter.
