Nitin Nabin Resigns as Bankipur MLA, Eyes Bigger Role

New Delhi – BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Monday announced his resignation as the elected Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Bankipur constituency in Bihar. Sharing the news on X, he addressed party workers and the people of the state, thanking them for their support over the years.

Reflects on Two-Decade Political Journey
Recalling his journey, Nabin said he entered politics in 2006 after the demise of his father, Nawin Kishore Prasad Sinha, when he was given the opportunity to contest a by-election from Patna West. He said he worked continuously over the past 20 years for the development of his constituency and Bihar, earning the trust of the people who elected him five times.

He added that both inside and outside the Assembly, he consistently raised issues concerning his constituency and worked towards resolving them.

Experience as Minister and Party Leader
Nabin said he gained valuable experience as an MLA and minister, working under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He highlighted that he implemented several key policies and development initiatives during his tenure and expressed gratitude to the state leadership.

Focus on New Role and Future Vision
Announcing his resignation, Nabin said he would continue serving Bihar in his new role within the party. He emphasised that his bond with the people of Bankipur and Bihar would remain strong and continue to inspire him.

He added that under the leadership of PM Modi, he would work towards achieving the vision of a developed India and Bihar by 2047. His resignation marks a significant political shift in Bankipur, where he served as a five-time MLA.
