Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar chaired the final state cabinet meeting at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Tuesday, marking a historic moment in the state’s changing political landscape.
This meeting is considered the last cabinet meeting of the current government.
Resignation announced, proposal to dissolve the government approved
Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, along with ministers from all departments, were present at the meeting. The meeting lasted approximately 20 minutes.
During the meeting, Nitish Kumar formally informed his colleagues of his decision to resign, initiating the process of dissolving the government.
According to sources, the proposal to dissolve the government was placed before the cabinet and was unanimously approved.
Emotional atmosphere, Chief Minister expresses gratitude
Although the meeting was brief, it held immense emotional significance as it marked the end of Nitish Kumar’s tenure.
After the meeting, Agriculture Minister Ramkripal Yadav described it as a very emotional moment.
He said that the Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to everyone, from officials to political leaders, for their support during his tenure.
Attends Ambedkar Jayanti Program, Attacked by Bees
Earlier in the day, Nitish Kumar participated in a program organized on the occasion of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary at the Patna High Court premises.
He paid tribute by garlanding the statue of Babasaheb Ambedkar. Several leaders, including Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Kumar Sinha, and Ashok Chaudhary, were present at the event.
In an unexpected incident, a swarm of bees attacked the event, causing panic and slightly injuring several people.
At the same time, senior leader Sanjay Jha praised the tenure of Nitish Kumar and said that under his leadership Bihar achieved new identity and respect.
