New Delhi: Sandeep Pathak on Saturday responded to reports of two FIRs filed against him, saying he has not received any official information regarding the cases so far.

‘No Information Yet on FIRs’

Addressing a press conference in Delhi, the BJP MP said that while media reports suggest that two FIRs have been lodged against him, he is yet to receive any formal communication or a copy of the FIRs.

“TV channels are reporting that two FIRs have been lodged against me. However, I have not received any such information so far. I was waiting to get a copy of the FIR so that I could respond to it,” Pathak said.

Flags Possible Political Motive

Reacting to the development, Pathak said it would not be surprising if the cases were filed by misusing political power.

“It would not be surprising if any FIR has been lodged against me by misusing political power,” he added, hinting at a possible political angle behind the reports.

Emphasises Integrity and Past Record

The BJP leader also stressed his track record, saying that those who have worked with him are aware of his integrity.

“All those who have worked with me know that I work with integrity. I worked with honesty and integrity when I was with AAP, and now that I have joined the BJP, I will continue to work in the same way,” Pathak said.

Awaiting Details Before Response

Pathak reiterated that he would respond to the matter only after receiving official documents related to the FIRs. He maintained that without verified information, any reaction would be premature.
