Nushrratt Bharuccha Embraces Choices: “Yes, I Am Opportunist”

MUMBAI, Dec 12, 2025 — Bollywood actress Nushrratt Bharuccha, known for her candid statements, recently addressed being labelled an “opportunist”, saying she embraces the term when it comes to pursuing roles she genuinely wants.

Reframing the Opportunist Tag

Speaking at an event, the Dream Girl star acknowledged the label head‑on and offered a fresh perspective. She said that if she receives an offer for a film she truly desires, she doesn’t hesitate to accept it asserting that wanting opportunities is not inherently wrong.

“I’m an opportunist too. If I get an offer for a film I genuinely want to do, then why not? Of course, I’ll go and say, ‘Yes, I want to do it,’” she said, adding that everyone stands in line for a reason because they want something.

Nushrratt argued that the term “opportunist” often carries a negative connotation but clarified that it should instead reflect responsible choices aligned with one’s values and experiences.

The actress emphasized that ambition and choice are natural parts of career growth. She insisted that being opportunistic isn’t wrong what matters is how one walks that path responsibly, learns from experience, and stays true to personal values.
