Udaipur Gang Rape Case: CEO, Two Others Remanded to Police Custody

Jaipur: A major update has emerged in the case of the gang rape of a female manager of a private IT company in Udaipur. Police have arrested three accused, including the company’s CEO, and sent them to three-day police custody.

According to Udaipur Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal, the accused were arrested late Wednesday night. Due to Thursday being a holiday, they were produced in court on Friday, where police custody was granted.

Incident in car after birthday party

Police investigation has revealed that the incident is linked to a party held at a hotel in Shobhagpura on December 20th. This party was organized to celebrate the company’s CEO’s birthday and New Year.

The victim, a manager at the same company, arrived at the party around 9 p.m. The CEO, the company’s female executive head, and her husband were also present.

The party continued late into the night, and alcohol was consumed. Police say that after the party ended, the three accused took the woman in their car on the pretext of dropping her home and drove her around the city for about three hours, during which she was raped inside.

Medical report confirms allegations

The victim mustered courage and filed a complaint with the police. A subsequent medical examination revealed injuries on her body, which matched her statement.

Based on this evidence, the police arrested the three accused.

Additional Superintendent of Police is monitoring the investigation

The case is being investigated under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Madhuri Verma. Police are interrogating the accused to gather the full facts and technical evidence of the incident.

Police officials say that more important information is likely to emerge during the investigation. They have assured that this case will be pursued with utmost seriousness and sensitivity, and strict action will be taken under the law.

According to the complaint, after the party ended, the guests left one by one, leaving the woman alone. At that point, the company’s female executive head offered to drop her home. The victim got into their car, which also contained the company’s CEO and the woman’s husband, a resident of Meerut.

Drugged on the way, gang-raped in the car

Police said that the accused in the car first allegedly purchased a cigarette-like substance from a shop on the way and gave it to the woman to drink. According to another report, she was also forced to drink alcohol.

The complaint states that after becoming intoxicated, she fell unconscious, and the three accused raped her in the moving car. The victim tried to resist, but the accused held her down.

The woman alleges that she was kept locked in the car overnight and left outside her house in the morning. After experiencing severe pain and weakness, she sought medical attention at a private hospital, which confirmed rape.

The victim then contacted the police and filed a complaint.

 CEO, female officer, and her husband arrested; investigation ongoing

Based on the victim’s statement, a case was registered at the Sukher police station under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The police arrested the three accused—the CEO, the female executive head, and her husband—after questioning them and presented them in court on Thursday. The court remanded them to four days of police custody.

Udaipur Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal stated that the victim’s medical examination has been completed and her statement has been recorded. Further investigation of the case has been handed over to Additional Superintendent of Police Madhuri Verma.

The police stated that further procedures are underway to gather evidence and verify the details of the incident.
