Operation Hotspot: 342 suspects arrested in one day, narcotics and illegal weapons seized

With the objective of further strengthening law and order in the state, the Haryana Police launched a statewide intensive checking and raid operation on December 24, 2025, dealing a severe blow to criminal networks. In this comprehensive operation, the police arrested a total of 342 accused persons from various districts. This operation not only put wanted criminals behind bars but also sent a strong message of security and confidence to the general public.

The biggest achievement of the operation was the arrest of 27 wanted criminals involved in heinous and violent crimes. By arresting three violent criminals each in sensitive districts like Sirsa, Kaithal, and Hisar, the police made it clear that there is no safe haven for criminals in the state. This action proved to be a significant step towards bringing down the crime rate in the state.

Taking a tough stance against the illegal drug trade, the police seized a large quantity of narcotics. 105 grams of charas, 160 kilograms of poppy husk, 786 grams of opium, and 1070 narcotic pills were recovered from across the state. In addition, 2500 bottles of English liquor, 19 liters of illicit liquor, and 13 liters of country liquor were also seized. More than 146 kilograms of poppy husk were recovered from Yamunanagar district alone.

Crippling the criminals’ operations, the police seized three country-made pistols, two revolvers, 11 cartridges, five empty shells, knives, and other deadly weapons. Along with this, ₹3,72,275 in cash, 4 cars, 8 motorcycles, 2 tractors, 1 scooter, and 4 mobile phones were also recovered. The recovery of ₹2,51,800 in cash from Sonipat district alone was a major success of this operation.
