New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the Indian cricket team after their five-wicket victory over Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 final.

Taking to X, PM Modi tweeted: “Operation Sindoor on the games field!” in reference to India’s dominating performance.

The win saw India chase down a target of 147 runs in Dubai, with Tilak Varma’s 69 leading the team to victory. India’s bowlers, including Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakravarthy, and Axar Patel, had earlier skittled Pakistan for 146.

The Prime Minister’s tweet added to the nationwide celebrations as fans across the country took to streets, waving tricolours and chanting slogans in jubilation.
