Pak Deputy PM Ishaq Dar Rejects Trump’s Ceasefire Mediation Claim, Says India Never Accepted Third-Party Role

Pakistan: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar rejected Donald Trump’s claim of stopping India-Pakistan war.

In an interview given to Al Jazeera on Tuesday, he admitted for the first time that India has never accepted any third party mediation between the two countries.

The anchor asked him whether he was ready to involve a third party to resolve the dispute during the conflict?

On this, Ishaq Dar said that we had no objection, but India has clearly said that this is a bilateral issue.

Dar said- Pakistan is ready for talks for peace

The conflict between India and Pakistan started on May 7. Three days later, on May 10, Trump first announced a ceasefire between the two countries.

After this, Dar had asked US Secretary of State Marco Rubio whether the US is resolving the dispute between India and Pakistan. To this, Rubio said that India clearly believes that this is a bilateral issue.

Dar also said that we are ready to talk to anyone to resolve the dispute and believe that dialogue is the way forward, but participation of both the parties is necessary for this

Dar said- India had rejected the proposal for talks

Dar further said that the US had also said that talks between India and Pakistan could take place at a neutral place. But in the next meeting with Rubio in Washington on July 25, he was told that India did not agree to this proposal.

Dar said- India says that this is a bilateral issue. We are not begging for anything. But it takes two people to talk. Dar also said that Pakistan is still ready for talks if India responds.

BJP leader said- Rahul Gandhi listen carefully, stop spreading lies

BJP leader Amit Malviya, while sharing Ishaq Dar’s statement, wrote that there was no third party mediation in the India-Pakistan ceasefire.

He wrote- Rahul Gandhi, listen carefully to what Pakistan’s own Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar told Al-Jazeera that India has rejected any third-party ceasefire mediation. Stop spreading lies. Stop repeating Pakistan’s propaganda.

Trump has taken ceasefire credit more than 30 times

On 22 April, some terrorists carried out a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. 26 people were killed in this attack. 15 days later, on 7 May, the Indian Army launched Operation Sindoor and targeted several terrorist hideouts in Pakistan.

The conflict between the two countries lasted for 4 days. Since announcing the ceasefire on May 10, Trump has taken credit for the ceasefire between the two countries more than 30 times.

However, India has clearly said that the ceasefire between the two countries has happened through mutual dialogue and no third party has any role in it.
